HOW TO MAKE MOLAR SOLUTION OF HYDROCHLORIC ACID

HOW TO MAKE MOLAR SOLUTION OF HYDROCHLORIC ACID

Following things Required to make Molar Solution :
Molecular Formula
Molecular Weight
Assay or Purity of Compound
Weight per ml of compound (In case of Liquid)
Solvent as per your Requirement
If the compound in liquid form, We devide the required weight by weight per ml of that compound to conversion in milliliters
Formula:-
Mol.Weight of Compound(in gram) x Required Molarity(M) x Required Volume(ml) x 100
1000 x  Assay or Purity of Compound

EXAMPLE: We want to make 500 ml solution of 2M Hydrochloric Acid
Following things Required to make Molar Solution :
Molecular Formula : HCl
Molecular Weight   : 36.5
Assay or Purity of Compound : 36.5 % w/w
Weight per ml of compound   : Approx 1.18

Please put the values in following formula:-
Mol.Weight of Compound(in gram) x Required Molarity(M) x Required Volume(ml) x 100
1000 x Assay or Purity of Compound

                =      36.5 (in gram) x 2(M) x 500 (ml) x 100
                                              1000 x  36.5
               =  100.00 gm
               =  100.00/1.18 (weight per ml)
               =  84.74 ml
=  84.74 ml Conc.Hydrochloric Acid Required to make 500ml solution
                   of 2M Hydrochloric Acid
