HOW TO MAKE MOLAR SOLUTION OF AMMONIUM HYDROXIDE

Following things Required to make Molar Solution :
Molecular Formula
Molecular Weight
Assay or Purity of Compound
Weight per ml of compound (In case of Liquid)
Solvent as per your Requirement
If the compound in liquid form, We devide the required weight by weight per ml of that compound to conversion in milliliters
Formula:-
Mol.Weight of Compound(in gram) x Required Molarity(M) x Required Volume(ml) x 100


                                   1000 x  Assay or Purity of Compound


EXAMPLE: We want to make 500 ml solution of 0.1M Ammonium Hydroxide
Following things Required to make Molar Solution :
Molecular Formula : NH4OH
Molecular Weight        : 35.04
Purity or Assay of Ammonium Hydroxide : 100.00% w/w
Theoretical Purity or assay of Ammonia in Ammonium Hydroxide : 48.60% w/w
It means 100gm of Ammonium Hydroxide contains 48.60 gm of Ammonia
Assay or Purity of Strong Ammonia Solution  : 25.0 % w/w
Weight per ml of Strong Ammonia Solution: Approx 0.91

Please put the values in following formula:-
Mol.Weight of Compound(in gram) x Required Molarity(M) x Required Volume(ml) x 100
                                         1000 x Assay or Purity of Compound
                  =      35.04 (in gram) x 0.1(M) x 500 (ml) x 100
                                                  1000 x 100.00
                  =  1.752 gm of Ammonium Hydroxide Required
                  =  1.752 x 48.60 (Ammonia in Ammonium Hydroxide)
                              100
                  =  0.851472 g Ammonia Required
                      We take Strong Ammonia Solution for making the Solution
                  =  0.851472 x 100                            
                       25.00 (Assay or Purity of Strong Ammonia Solution)                  
                  =  3.405888 gm of Strong Ammonia Solution Required
                  =  3.405888 gm
                       0.91 (Wt.per ml of Strong Ammonia Solution)
                  =  3.74 ml  Strong Ammonia Solution Required to make 500ml solution of 0.1M
                      Ammonium Hydroxide
